Faye Moffett is the Local Team Leader for the Banking and Asset Finance and Islamic and Structured Finance teams.
She specialises in banking and asset finance transactions including aircraft and ship finance matters. She has particular experience in providing opinions on Isle of Man companies and on cross border security and insolvency issues. Faye has also has advised corporate institutions on a wide range of matters including negotiating joint venture agreements, subordination agreements, financing documents and shareholder agreements.
Faye was named as a Leader in her Field by Chambers UK 2011 and Chambers Europe 2010. In Chambers 2009, clients consider Faye Moffett to offer “very impressive and responsive banking opinions”. Shipping clients quoting to Legal 500, 2009 describes “Faye and her team as providing a 'first-rate practice'. She has also been recommended in the field of Corporate/M&A by PLC Which Lawyer? 2009 as a “Seasoned corporate and commercial expert”.
Her clients include Isle of Man companies, international financial institutions and international law firms.
Faye qualified as an Isle of Man Advocate in 1997 before leaving the Island in 2000, spending several years working for leading law firms in Edinburgh. She returned to the Island in 2004 and joined the firm as an associate advocate, later becoming Partner in February 2006.

Some recent examples of her representative work include:
• Acted for an Isle of Man borrower in connection with a US$1 billion syndicated loan facility.
• Advised on the Isle of Man aspects of the restructuring of a loan facility of circa £617,000,000 including lending to regulated insurance entities.
• Advised in connection the Isle of Man insolvency and restructuring aspects of a £900,000,000 loan facility.
• Acted for an Irish Bank in connection with the Isle of Man aspects of a loan facility of circa €164,000,000 and Isle of Man security issues.
